Lots of fun was had by children, staff and parents when Clanadonia came to play for us last week. Dancing, drumming and marching all round the playground.
Today some of the children from the Acorn Room went for a walk to look for Stickman.
"Stickman" by Julia Donaldson is our favourite book in the Acorn room just now and we are reading it all the time.
We found lots of interesting things on our way. First we crossed a small bridge and saw some ducks in the water and saw a lovely blue bird fly past us......it was a kingfisher. Then we climbed lots of stairs to go over a very high bridge, we counted the steps as we crossed but there were just too many!! We saw some catkins growing on the trees and used them to play pooh sticks. A daddy duck was cleaning himself with his beak, so we stopped to watch, we all thought he was very clever.
We saw lots of other things in the water too, some rubbish, footballs and even a shopping trolley! We didn't like that! Rubbish should go in the bin and trolleys should be at Asda!
We found a park at the end of the path and had a go on the swings and practiced climbing and then sliding down the chute.
Eventually we found Stickman and his Ladylove and brought them both back to nursery, ready to read the story again.
